Senior Internal Auditor - Cork. Our client, a U.S Multinational with offices based in Cork is currently recruiting for a new role. The role of Senior Internal Auditor will manage global control compliance and financial/operational audit assignments. Working closely with external auditors and management the successful applicant will require strong audit knowledge and skills in finance/accounting and information systems. Duties & Responsibilites: • Document, assess, and test business process flows and control activities to achieve audit objectives. • Design and execute audit plans, procedures and testing for control compliance and core operational / financial audits. • Develop and maintain consistent work papers for the work plan that depict achievement of audit objectives to include audit summary memorandum, sample methodology, test work procedures, conclusions, recommendations and management’s response. • Implement processes and procedures to communicate audit status and results through use of technology. • Use governance, risk and control technology platform for documenting and executing audit plans and test of controls. • Coordinate and drive activities with external auditors to support external attest, audit and review procedures. • Assess risk to drive scoping, audit plans, procedures and testing. • Develop and update procedures, schedules, priorities and programs to achieve audit objectives and goals within deadlines. • Prepare audit presentation materials and recommendation reports that are clear, concise and timely. • Present audit plans, status and results. • Catalyst to improve business process efficiency and effectiveness. • Work with personnel in various operational and financial roles within and outside the organization. • Develop creative approaches and solutions necessary to solve complex problems. • Lead various special projects requiring analytical and risk assessment skills.
