As a Chemist, you will be responsible for providing an effective analytical service to our client’s research and development function. In this interesting role, you’ll have the opportunity to design and optimise reagent formulations for our client’s platforms and develop effective formulation screening strategies and rapid data processing approaches. Designing and executing experiments, you’ll identify any scientific and technical problems and make recommendations for appropriate solutions. Interpreting data gained from experiments, you’ll discuss the results within team and departmental meetings. Additionally, you’ll maintain accurate laboratory documentation and conduct scientific literature searches for project development purposes. To be considered for this role, you must have: - Experience as a chemist. - A demonstrable understanding of biological buffer systems and their physical and chemical properties. - Demonstrable skills in problem-solving and conceptualising novel approaches. - A BSc (or equivalent) in chemistry or related discipline. Organised and analytical, as a Chemist, you must have great communication, prioritisation and time-management skills with the ability to work independently within a multidisciplinary research team. Ideally, you’ll have postgraduate research experience as an analytical chemist. It would also be beneficial if you’ve been published in internationally recognised peer reviewed journals, but this isn’t essential.
